Just Work? A solidarity tour in support of migrant workers’ rights

José Sicajau is a Guatemalan who knows what happens when migrant workers in Canada speak out about unsafe working conditions. You get deported.

Now José is an organizer with AGUND in Guatemala, determined to improve the human rights of migrant workers. José is coming back to Canada to expose the situation facing the workers who work in fields across our nation.

International social justice organization Inter Pares (“Among Equals” in Latin) is touring José and two other activists across central Canada this fall to share their knowledge and perspective with Canadians. While here, they'll build closer ties with groups promoting food justice and justice for migrant workers, and meet with parliamentarians and government officials. Check out the tour’s blog at www.InterPares.ca/JustWork for more information on issues related to migrant work in Canada.
