CIVIL RIGHTS on Wednesday! And other exciting events of the autumn

Just to remind you that the panel discussion about your rights takes place this Wednesday, August 26 at 7 p.m. in the Glebe Community Center (175 Third Ave):
We All Have A Right To The Truth
Abdullah Almalki, a Canadian Citizen who was detained, interrogated and tortured in Syria; Yavar Hameed, a human rights lawyer and counsel for Abousfian Abdelrazik; and Maureen Webb, the author of the Illusions of Security: Global Surveillance and Democracy in the Post-9/11 World will discuss the civil rights of Canadian citizens and the violation of those rights by the Government. Instructor Bill Skidmore, Carleton University, moderates the discussion.
Doors open at 6.30 p.m.
