Join us for food, music and speakers in celebration of people's defense
of Mother Earth.
Bring your drums!
Bring a cup!
This Earth Day, join us as we celebrate strong women and men who have
risen up in defense of the land and its inhabitants, and who work to protect
the health and well being of their communities, their children and
themselves. Come learn about and celebrate resistance to environmental
injustice and racism!

The speakers will be talking about women's roles and responsibilities, in
particular their responsibilities to the water and the land; the medicine
wheel; the Barriere Lake Algonquins fight for the Trilateral Agreement and
against government and Indian and Northern Affairs Canada's interference
in their traditional governance, and other subjects.
As well as speakers, there will be live music and drumming, as well as
free food and drinks.
Donations will go to covering the cost of the event, and to Minwashiin Lodge.
