Capital Slam featuring The Foreign
The new season under way! Come join us for a new year of poetic fun and mayhem! Who will be crowned the second monthly champion of the '08-'09 season?
Also, the feature will be Ottawa hip-hop group, The Foreign!
The Foreign consists of: BeyondSF aka Solemn Fiend, Mister Drifter, and Kain Marko. Forming a group in early 2005 they have been working on an album which will be due out in 2008 on Know Something records.
'Together, the three from The Foreign, currently one the most promising hip-hop groups in Ontario and dare I say Canada. With two beat-makers and three MCs (I'll let you all do the math); The Foreign distinguishes itself from the herd through truthful rhymes that incorporate self-reflection, soul-searching and overall growth. Each MC has his own flow, his own style and his own presence on the track. Each producer has his own approach, his own pace and his own preference in sampling.' - HIPHOPCANADA.COM
